You have hundreds of photos of Mom. How many recordings of her voice?

We come to your parents' home, sit them down for one relaxed afternoon, and turn their stories into a film your family will keep forever. Chilliwack based, serving the whole Fraser Valley.

One afternoon. That's the whole ask.

You've been meaning to do this for years. So has everyone. Here's how it actually happens.

A short call

We talk about who the film is for and what you'd want in it. Fifteen minutes, no pressure, and you'll know if this is right.

A prep visit at their home

Jayden and Nina stop by before filming day to meet your parent, see the space, and settle any nerves. Most people relax the moment they realize it's a conversation, not a performance.

One relaxed afternoon

Two people, twenty minutes of setup, no house turned upside down. Then a warm, funny, honest conversation about their life. Families tell us it's an afternoon they'd have wanted even without the camera.

The film, within six weeks

A 30 to 45 minute film plus a five minute short, with up to 100 of your family photos woven in. Delivered on USB and digitally. You don't call it finished. Your family does.

It started with my great-grandmother.

I filmed her at 100. Just the two of us, her kitchen, a few hours of questions I'd always wanted to ask. She passed that December, three days before her 101st birthday.

That winter, my whole family sat down and watched her tell her own story, in her own words, laughing at the same jokes she'd told for decades. I've been a full-time commercial videographer for years. That afternoon is the reason Legacy Life exists.

What your family receives

Not an interview. Not a project. A film, made properly, by a working film crew.

A 30 to 45 minute film

Their stories, in their voice, edited by a professional editor with titles, colour and clean audio.

A five minute version

The one that gets sent to cousins, shown at birthdays, and watched on a phone in a waiting room.

Up to 100 photos, woven in

You pick them. We scan them and place them where they belong in the story.

The First Twenty Minutes guarantee

If the person being filmed decides in the first twenty minutes that it isn't for them, we pack up, refund every dollar, and delete the footage before we leave.

The family approves it

Two rounds of changes are built in. If it still isn't right, we keep working until it is.

The Preservation Promise

We hold the master and re-deliver it free if formats change. Your grandkids' kids will still be able to play it.

Still meaning to do it?

This is the year it happens.

We'll only use this to get in touch about your consultation. No lists, no spam.

Questions families ask

The honest answers, before you get on a call.

What if my dad says no?

He usually says no to the idea, not the afternoon. That's why the prep visit exists: he meets Jayden and Nina, sees it's a conversation over a cup of coffee, not a production. And if he sits down and decides in the first twenty minutes that it isn't for him, we pack up and there's no charge.

How long does filming take?

About an afternoon. Twenty minutes to set up, a relaxed conversation of an hour or two, and we're gone. We're a two-person crew and we don't rearrange the house.

Do we have to prepare questions?

No. We write them, based on what you tell us matters: how they met, where they grew up, the stories the family already loves. You're welcome to add your own.

When do we get the film?

Within six weeks, committed. Most families have it sooner. If you're booking against a birthday or a holiday, ask about the two-week rush edit.

What does it cost?

It depends on whether we're filming one parent or both, and what you'd like woven in. We walk through it at the consultation, in person, with no pressure. Price is rarely the reason families put this off, and we'd rather talk about the film first.

Is the film private?

Completely. Your film belongs to your family. Nothing is shared publicly, ever, unless a family asks us to.

Where do you film?

At your parents' home. We're based in Chilliwack and film across Abbotsford and the whole Fraser Valley.
